Little Seedlings Club March Workshop - Perfect Peas and Pod Plants | Sunday 1 March
In March’s Little Seedlings workshop, children will learn all about peas and other pod plants. They’ll explore the life cycle of a pea, how pod plants grow, and how flowers turn into pods. Children will look at different types of peas, discover which ones we can eat, and learn how they climb. The workshop also includes a hands-on planting activity where children will sow their own pea seeds to take home and grow.
This workshop will cover:
- What peas and pod plants are
- What’s happening inside a pod
- How peas grow from seed to pod
- Mini movement activity – Grow like a pea plant
- How climbing plants grow and why they climb
- Why pod plants are important for gardens and soil
- Types of peas and growing pod plants
- Workshop activity – Sowing pea seeds
Please note:
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- The club runs on the first Sunday of every month. Times vary per store. Please click on your perferred store below for available options.
- Where stores are running multiple sessions it is the same workshop delivered at each one
- Parents or guardians wishing to order hot drinks for the session in advance can do so during the booking process
- Dates and times for our Little Seedlings Clubs vary by store and not all stores are able to participate
- Advance booking is required with spaces booked quickly – please book early to avoid disappointment
