Little Seedlings Club January Workshop - Christmas Tree Recycling | Sunday 4 January
In January’s Little Seedlings workshop, we’ll discover how to give our old Christmas tree a new life. Children will explore where real Christmas trees come from, why they’re great for our planet, and discover some fun and creative ways to recycle them. They’ll learn how old trees can become wildlife habitats, why it’s important to recycle, and how to stay safe while doing so. The workshop also includes a fun true or false game, as well as a hands-on activity where children will build their own mini wildlife habitat from Christmas tree branches.
This workshop will cover:
- Where real Christmas trees come from
- Why Christmas trees are good for nature
- What happens to trees after Christmas
- Mini activity - True or False Game
- Turning your Christmas tree into a wildlife habitat
- Other ways to recycle your Christmas tree
- The importance of recycling your Christmas tree
- How to stay safe while recycling your tree
- Workshop activity – Build a mini wildlife habitat
Please note:
- Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- The club runs on the first Sunday of every month. Times vary per store. Please click on your perferred store below for available options.
- Where stores are running multiple sessions it is the same workshop delivered at each one
- Parents or guardians wishing to order hot drinks for the session in advance can do so during the booking process
- Dates and times for our Little Seedlings Clubs vary by store and not all stores are able to participate
