For October we have a special Little Seedlings holiday club where your little ones can learn all about pumpkins

Book in for one of the sessions to take a closer look at the the pumpkin including where it originated from through to why its associated with October and Halloween, and how the tradition of carving pumpkins began

The workshop will cover:

  • What pumpkins are and their history
  • Whether they’re a fruit or vegetable
  • The origins of the name ‘pumpkin’ and the heaviest pumpkin on earth
  • Different kinds of pumpkins
  • How pumpkins can be cooked and eaten
  • How pumpkins grow and their life cycle
  • Why we carve pumpkins and why they’re associated with October
  • Creating your very own 3d paper pumpkin

-       Please note:

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Where stores are running multiple sessions it is the same workshop delivered at each one.
  • Parents or guardians wishing to order hot drinks for the session in advance can do so during the booking process.
  • Dates and times for our Little Seedlings Clubs vary by store and not all stores are able to participate. 
  • Advance booking is required with spaces booked quickly – please book early to avoid disappointment.
  • Where a session is shown as 'Sold Out' – we're sorry, there are no more tickets available for that time.
  • Little Seedlings Holiday Club will not run at Beaconsfield, Brighton, Bury St Edmunds, Derby, Hare Hatch, Harlestone Heath, Hungerford, Keston, Kings Lynn, Leicester, Marple, Milton Keynes, Morpeth, Northampton, Peterborough. Stapleton and Thornbury

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Here are the details of the workshop:

  • When you arrive at the store, please check the location of the workshop at the customer services desk
  • Workshops last for approximately 60 minutes and are free to attend
  • Each child will receive a membership pack containing an attendance card and stickers
  • Children will learn about the topic, and there will be a game and/or activities
  • Suitable for children aged 4-10 years
  • Parents/Guardians must stay with children for the duration of the workshop 
  • Should you wish to take photos at the workshop you MUST ensure no other children from the workshop are included in the photo
  • These workshops are very popular and we would appreciate if you can let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can open up the space to someone else
