For Little Seedlings’ Summer Holiday Club workshop, we’ll be stepping into Kitty Fairy’s secret summer garden to explore the magical world of  Gabby’s Dollhouse through nature. Guided by Kitty Fairy, children are introduced to the idea of gardens as living, magical spaces, discovering how plants, insects, and fungi work together as part of a garden ecosystem. Through storytelling, children will learn about garden folklore, from fairy stories to the mystery of fairy rings, with explanations of the science behind them.

Children will take part in an interactive mini activity to create their own fairy ring, before exploring dandelions and how and why their seeds travel through the air. The workshop blends imagination with real-world learning, while showing children how they can care for nature themselves. The session culminates in a creative, hands-on activity where children design and decorate their own fairy doors to take home, inspired by the secret entrances to Fairylandia. 

This workshop will cover: 

  • An introduction to Gabby’s Dollhouse and Kitty Fairy. 
  • The secret life of gardens. 
  • Garden fairy stories. 
  • What is a fairy ring? 
  • Mini activity – Fairy ring dash.
  • Dandelion magic. 
  • How to be a nature guardian.
  • Workshop activity – Creating secret garden fairy doors.

 

Please note:

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • This workshop is running on various dates throughout the summer holiday period, and these dates vary per store. Please click on your perferred store below for available options. Not all stores are able to participate.
  • Where stores are running multiple sessions it is the same workshop delivered at each one.
  • Parents or guardians wishing to order hot drinks for the session in advance can do so during the booking process.
  • Advance booking is required with spaces booked quickly – please book early to avoid disappointment.
  • Where a session is shown as 'Sold Out' – we're sorry, there are no more tickets available for that time.

Attendance Instructions

Here are the details of the workshop:

  • When you arrive at the store, please check the location of the workshop at the customer services desk.
  • Workshops last for approximately 60 minutes and are free to attend.
  • Each child will receive a membership pack containing an attendance card and stickers.
  • Children will learn about the topic, and there will be a game and/or activities.
  • Suitable for children aged 4-10 years.
  • Should you wish to take photos at the workshop you MUST ensure no other children from the workshop are included in the photo.
  • These workshops are very popular and we would appreciate if you can let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can open up the space to someone else.
