For April we have a special Little Seedlings holiday club where your little ones can learn all about why Easter is an important time in the gardener's calendar as well as having some Easter fun!

We'll talk about all the planning and preparation that takes place during Easter for gardeners.

We also take a look at some Easter flowers and animals, create cress head pals using leftover eggshells and round everything up with an Easter scavenger hunt.

The workshop will cover:

  • Why Easter signals the start of many gardening activities
  • The importance of creating a checklist of tasks to prepare your garden for the warmer weather
  • Identifying some of the common weeds that we need to remove
  • The significance of flowers during Easter and some of the most popular varieties
  • Making cress egg heads
  • The significance of the rabbit during Easter
  • The importance of looking after the often-forgotten bee
  • An Easter scavenger hunt activity
